Gozzi's Turkey Farm turkeys available in Wilton, CT

TrishUntrapped Nov 21, 2010 10:30 AM

I just bought my Thanksgiving turkey - a Gozzi's Turkey Farm bird from the Wilton Village Market in Wilton.

From what I understand, these all natural hormone/antibiotic free birds are primarily sold at the turkey farm in Guilford, and only at two supermarkets in Connecticut, the Village Market being one of them. Since they come at 28 degrees they are fine to keep in the fridge from now till Thursday.

This was great for me because I was unable to pre-order a bird from the farm, and I didn't have to travel all the way to Guilford.

I was all set to buy a Kosher bird until I heard about Gozzi's, so this will be my first.

At the farm, they keep a few colorful birds on the grounds for kids to watch....

You can order them at South Side Market on Route 17 in Middletown as well...I've noticed the sign as I drive by.

I've never had a Gozzi's bird, but am a big kid at heart and confess to visiting those brightly colored gobblers in years gone by.

We have been buying Gozzi's turkeys for several years now. Excellent!
