Where do I get fresh soy milk in Berkeley?
Little Saigon along Story Road in San Jose has some stores (e.g., Dong Phuong Tofu) that sell vegetarian Vietnamese dishes all built with/around tofu. They also sell fresh tofu. Since since their business is built so much around tofu, guess what? they also sell fresh soy milk in half- and full gallon containers, with and without sugar. Their fresh tofu and soy milk taste a world apart from what you get from TJ or Costco.
Would you know where I can get similar fresh soy milk in Berkeley? I'll consider it a bonus if I can get fresh tofu and tofu-based dishes from the same place.
Thanks in advance for your help!

Have you tried Hodo Soy? It's made in Oakland. Here's a link to stores that sell its products, also available at farmers markets.

I haven't tried Hodo Soy and now that you have brought it to my attention, I shall. Their products are all of interest. Dong Phuong Tofu and its alternates, while likely cheaper than Hodo Soy, are too confined to their corner of Little Saigon while Hodo Soy has opted for wider distribution and a "scalable" business model.
Thank you for your response and suggestion, Melanie.

I like Hodo Soy--it is good but expensive, but I really prefer the flavor and texture of their medium tofu to any other I've tried. Not to mention that it is the only vendor I know of that meets the Berkeley restriction (they are at all the Berkeley farmer's markets). The Richmond 99 Ranch has some local variety of soymilk (that I haven't tried), but the fresh soft tofu of the same maker was good and fresh tasting.

Are there any Chinese grocers within the Berkeley borders? In SF, the markets in Chinatown, Irving and Clement streets get deliveries of fresh soy milk in the morning. The jugs are often still warm. I imagine that the grocers in Oakland Chinatown will have some, but again, those aren't in Berkeley.

No, Oakland Chinatown and 99 Ranch would be the closest. I think Yaoya-San in El Cerrito gets it also.
