Staying in the area and am looking for good places for oysters......finding a good brewpub would also be a plus.

  1. There's a world of beer off 4th, although not really close to the beach. Speaking of not close to the beach, I'd visit Cigar City brewery in Ybor. Cheers.

x2 on cigar city, and a 5 minute drive from it is Oystercatchers which has excellent food but isn't cheap, beautiful view too.

I had some decent Texas oysters at Island Grill and Raw Bar in Tierra Verde, but their beer offerings were mediocre, like most places at the beach (except for the Undertow in St. Pete Beach). My favorite place for oysters is Guppy's in Indian Rocks Beach, where the beer choices are a little better. I agree about Cigar City, but it's behind the Home Depot on N Dale Mabry in Lincoln Gardens, not Ybor (though Ybor does have good beer at Tampa Bay Brewing Company).
