Milk Calendar

terrycar Nov 20, 2010 12:37 PM

I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this, but I'll toss it out anyway. Does anyone have any information on what happened to this years milk calendar that was supposed to be in todays Star and a number of other papers across the province. It wasn't in my copy of the Star, and from what I hear,
was missing from a lot of others as well.

I got one in my home delivery! I never use these though. Is there a particular recipe that looks good? Or is this about winning a Honda?

You can order online your 2011 Milk Calendar (www.mycalendar.com)

Are you sure this is the right address? I just clicked on & it said it couldn't be found.

Thanks Lisa_Dale. Apparently they couldn't afford to give them out to everyone.

It's a promotional calendar put out by the Dairy Farmers of Canada. It has a bunch of recipes with milk in them -- one for each month, plus some extras.

I didn't get mine either. But (as with pretty much everything these days) you can access it online (the site even has recipes from previous years):

Thanks torontofoodiegirl! I completely forgot about the Milk Calendars and that website has all the old recipes from years gone by - very cool!

I did last week see it in the produce section at a metro, so hopefully you can get one there.

I called the Star - they're not sending it to everybody this year and I was one of the people "not preselected". !!!!

According to the Milk Calendar peeps it is supposed to be in November 20th edition of the Star.

I wonder what they would think of the Star's pre-selection campaign?

                    That is really odd.

Anyways I used to love, love, love the milk calender but not in quite a few years. I'll sell you mine LOL

No I get home delivery on Saturday & it wasn't there. And, from checking the Facebook page it appears a lot of others didn't as well. I sent the Star an email & plan to call them on Monday.

I got the Milk Calendar in my delivered copy of today's Toronto Star. If you didn't get yours, simply phone and ask the Star for it. They should cough one up for you, usually within a few hours of your complaint (on weekdays). There were a lot of extra advertising inserts in today's Star, and it's entirely possible that one insert (the calendar) didn't make it in with the other inserts.
