Recs for private party (30 people) near 15th and 6th - Italian, Mexican, American - kid friendly?

Hi guys,

The subject line says it all. I'm looking for a place close to 15th and 6th to host a rehearsal dinner for a wedding (kids included). I'm hoping for something universally accessible but also affordable. Any recommendations?

Thanks so much,

  1. Not quite all. What price range do you consider affordable? (One person's affordable is anothre's cheap and another's too expensive). Are you including alc. beverages, won't there be any, or not including them? Tax plus tip adds 25%.

Under a $1000, for sure, and the cheaper the better, really. We were thinking BYOB might be a great option.

    2. I would call DaAndrea on 13th between 5&6th. They could set something up in the back of the room, semi away from the other diners.

      1. not TERRIBLY close to 15th and 6th BUT a few stops away on the F is li'l frankie's, an italian restaurant that does lovely pizzas and great pastas; they have a back room that would work. they're on 1st avenue off of 1st street (the nexus of the universe).

1st and 1st is "close" for us New Yorkers but not for out-of-towners, especially not a group of thirty.

I'd say your best bets within a reasonable walking distance and at the price range you requested are Chelsea Ristorante (8th Ave @ 15th) and possibly Bocca (19th & Bwy)

39 East 19th Street, New York, NY 10003

        2. The covered outside at Crispo is an option. 14th bw 7th n 8th.
