Hachoir?

Cafeo has been replaced by a new upscale hamburger joint that opened this week. They offer valet parking and as we walked by yesterday the valet told us kids eat free on Sunday nights, I imagine one free kids' meal per adult? He did tell me but it was hard to hear in the traffic and with his shivering. Also, they have a kids' menu for $8. Place was already packed, seems to be a lot of tartares or burgers. Anyone tried it yet or seen a review? Oh, just found their menu online - seems to be some gourmet burgers with foie gras, crab, things like that.

Reviewed in today's Voir by notorious Sparrow line jumper Gildas Meneu. It's a bit short on descriptions and actual appreciation of the food. Reads more like the writer tried very hard not to ruffle any feathers.

It's not really convincing me to try the place.

Wow. A burger joint with valet parking. That's gotta be a first in the city.

Of course, the cheapest burger is $12.50...

The venison burger with Riopelle cheese, seared foie gras and truffle shavings is $28. A bargain next to APDC's $39 foie gras burger.

          yummmm.... riopelle!!!
but I'd never dish out that kinda cash for a burger... seriously... why this upscaling all the time... a trend that will kill any good place... for me diner is diner and make is fresh and good then I'm happy.
I'd also not put riopelle on a burger but eat it like it should be eatin... on it's own with bread and other lovely things....
lastly... is riopelle getting so popular that I can't get properly aged recently... always too young

I went last night. It was pretty good! The venison tartare was very good, and the potato appetizer was also really good. It wasn't cheap, but if you're looking for a bitro-esque atmosphere that's not too fancy where you can eat good food, then this is the place. Also, the service was very good considering they've only been open for a week.
