Today the craving for a lobster roll hit and I realized I can't think of a single place in Metro Detroit that serves one. So does anyone know where I could find one?

Modern Food & Spirits in Keego Harbor has a Neptune sandwich on the menu. Closest thing in
the area to a lobster roll.

I was going to mention this as well. I've had it, but shouldn't have, as I really don't care much for lobster or crab, outside of crab cakes. It's just not very flavorful to me, and so it might very well have been an excellent Neptune sandwich...but its merits were wasted on me.

Modern's "Neptune" is a reasonable approximation of the lobster rolls I ate while attending the trade school in Cambridge, MA.

It's a bit different, but not objectionably so.

Real Seafood in Ann Arbor has a lobster roll special for fall, if that counts as Metro Detroit. Also Meriwether's in Southfield has a lobster grilled cheese, but that's not really the same.
