Greenwich Village ice cream sundae

motl Nov 20, 2010 06:39 AM

Is there a place in or around the Village to get a great ice cream sundae? It's my wife's birthday today, and she's got a hankering. We'll be heading to the Angelika afterwards.

Go to Otto? Perhaps the olive oil coppetta? It's not your traditional ice cream sundae, though. You can sit at the bar and just order gelato.

DBGB has sundaes on the menu. Also not your traditional ice cream sundae, if that is what you seek. You can sit in the front room and just order dessert I believe.

Emack and Bolio might work as well. It's an ice cream shop chain, not a full blown sit down restaurant.

Wow, that's really helpful -- thanks a lot! We've had the olive oil gelato at Otto's -- it's amazing. We're having dinner elsewhere tonight, and just wanted a place to stop into for a quick sundae before the movie. I think Emack and Bolio's will be just the ticket. Thanks again!

Sundaes and Cones on 10th Street near 3rd Avenue has excellent ice cream and interesting flavors; i.e. green tea, red bean, pumpkin, etc. Many choices of toppings. Give it a try!

Too late for this but I think Blue Ribbon has sundaes....and if it's anything like the outrageous bread pudding it is well worthwhile.
