Cut at the Marina Bay Sands

Does anyone know when Wolfgang Puck's CUT is opening in Singapore? Trying to plan a trip and would like to hold off until it opens.

    I enjoyed everything I had at CUT during dinner recently - definitely a must-visit place for any foodie to Marina Bay Sands. Just sharing some photos of dishes we had:

    - Oxtail Bouillon, with Chervil & Bone Marrow Dumplings;
    - Maple-glazed Pork Belly, Fuji Apple-Persimmon Salad, Spiced Almonds with Sesame-Orange Dressing;
    - Grilled NY Sirloin Steak;
    - Indian-spiced Kobe Beef Short Ribs on Masala Cauliflower Puree;
    - Creamed Spinach, topped with a Fried Organic Egg.

      I went there yesterday. I was not that hungry, so took two starters the 'steak tartare' and the 'tuna tartare'. Both were very good and had a different enough touch to what regular tartares are like to make it worth trying them. The atmosphere given that it is in a casino shopping mall is excellent. Why can we not have such a place in Macau?! In Macau restaurants are either too quiet/boring or fall straight into the pub alike/simply cheap food. I will have to get some of the casino people in Macau to come over to Singapore, try this place and get something going like that in Macau too.

        Thanks everyone. Can't wait to get over there and try it.

          It opened on Sat., 11/20 and it is fantastic! Best steakhouse in Singapore. Friendly staff, UNBELIEVABLE steak and gorgeous decor. You will not be disappointed!

            Nice accolades but would you care to expand on what you had. And how do you rate it against Morton's?

              Hi Gomez:

              CUT is probably 2 times more expensive than Morton's. Have to spend a minimum $200 but more likely at the range of $300 per person. It focus more on Wagyu beef with varieties of wagyu from Snake River Farm Idaho, Ranger range Australia, and Saga Prefecture Japan. The beef is much more fattier than those from Morton's and the pure Japan breed has a melt-in-your-mouth taste. If you like these type of steaks, then CUT is the place. Service is excellent and friendly, and consider it just opened for 2 weeks, the execution is perfect.

              What did you have? I'd only tried Puck's Spago and Chinois in the US, and I thought both were rather average.

                Spago and Chinois are more places you go to for the name, not the food. Cut, OTOH, has great food, but you also pay for it. I live in Los Angeles, and have tried all 3. Cut is definitely a top of the line steakhouse.
