Pho Fusion - Grand Opening Today in Asheville

According to their Facebook site, the grand opening is Today (Saturday 11/20/10) at 11:00 AM. Looks promising.

I had their pate sandwich for lunch. It was exactly what I remember.

Until '96, I lived in DC. Maybe I've been away from Vietnamese food so long that I'm comparing apples to ghostly memories.

I'm going to visit them within the next few weeks. My only problem is that I've eaten a lot of Vietnamese food, a good bit of it off menu in the town I used to live. I hope they do a nice pho that is authentic vs some hacked together one that's designed to please the local palate.

We went there several weeks ago when I had a craving for Pho. They're trying hard, but it's no where near the Vietnamese food we've had in the DC area. The owner said they have a hard time getting the ingredients and cuts of beef they need for the real thing. I'll be curious to see what you think.

this is by far the best vietnamese in asheville....because its the only vietnamese in asheville. kind of a gringo-ized version of vietnamese food. would not last one week in a city with a vietnamese population.
