After pining for months over a salad I had at Cin Cin in Vancouver, I emailed the restaurant and received the recipe. The ingredient list is testing my resources. I have yet to find sources in the D.C./Baltimore/No.Va. area for the following items:

Lobster mushrooms
Truffle tapenade
Double-smoked bacon
Quail eggs

Any ideas? I've tried all the usual suspects.

i asked the mushroom guy at the Falls Church Farmers Market about lobster mushrooms today. He said they're more of summer item, but that you might be able to find them dried, and if you do, they can be rehydrated easily.

As for the bacon, maybe Eastern Market?
