Thanksgiving Delivery?

Anyone recommend a good place to order in for Thanksgiving in Chicago? We'd prefer fresh rather than one of the local chains.

Try the Honey Baked Ham company - honeybaked.com. Looks like they have several stores in your area. I had a meal from a store on the west coast several years ago that still makes my mouth water. Very addictive ham.

I'm going with the Bleed Heart Bakery. They got everything short of the turkey for pick-up! Thanks for everyone's help!

Not at all sure what you are looking for from your post so it's hard to give you a useful response.

Do you want cooked food delivered the day of Thanksgiving? The makings of Thanksgiving dinner delivered so you can cook it yourself? Some other kind of order-out like pizza or Chinese?

Also, where in the city or suburbs will you be? It makes a difference.

Finally, I don't think I understand the distinction between "fresh" and "one of the local chains."

        I don't want a Maggiano's or a Leona's. So fresh is maybe a smaller catering company?

That's still really vague. What type of food? Are you expecting someone to deliver a traditional Thanksgiving meal or are you just looking for a good suggestion for a place that delivers - regardless of cuisine?

Americana. I've done a google search of caterers but I decided to look on here. Sounds like I'm being more interviewed than recommended places! Ha!

We're looking for dinner to feed 7 people and yes I would say traditional thanksgiving meal.

Well it usually helps to get you a more directed answer if you provide a little detail in your question. Something like "I want food delivered on Thanksgiving" gives others very little to work with for an area as widespread as Chicago.

Now that you've defined parameters somewhat I'd say you're limited unless you're willing to pick up food. Whole Foods will give you a whole dinner for 8 for $100. You can go higher-end like Goddess & Grocer or Trotter's to Go or a number of other places.

Hey, nobody is tryiung to pry. We're trying to help you find what you want, but we don't read minds.

I know this is your first post here, so it might be useful to notice that specifics do help. In a metropolitan area of nearly 7 million people with pretty much as many notions of what's good, bad, right or wrong, available or unavailable for Thanksgiving.

I'm sure you can also see that here are options in the North Shore suburbs that are not available on the West Side and things you might be looking for on South Side that you wouldn't find in the northwest corridor.

So the more you can provide, the better recommendations you will get.

And where are you? City? Suburb? What area?

There are catering companies, but it might be late to order for Thanksgiving. Are you looking for a local restaurant that delivers ... ?
