Traditional French Lunch in Downtown SF?

I'm going to a one-day class at the Westin San Francisco at 50 Third Street in December and I want to take myself to a traditional French lunch (I'm talking onion soup, steak frites, maybe pate or foie gras). It has to be walking distance from the Westin. Contenders are Cafe Claude, Cafe de la Presse, Grand Cafe, Le Central. Can anyone give a recommendation for any one of these over the others or suggest something different?

Cafe Claude's bar is comfortable for solo dining.
