Sesame shrimp in a mayo sauce? Anyone know what I mean?
About a year ago, I went to Chinatown for lunch and came across this completely unique and incredible shrimp dish.
Battered and deep fried, then covered in a thick, white, mayonnaise-type sweet sauce and sesame seeds.
I've been craving it ever since! That was the only restaurant I've ever seen it in.
Can anyone give me more information or a recipe for it?
It looks exactly like this! And I believe it's called "Sesame Shrimp"...it was very sweet tasting....

This closely resembles and sounds like one of my favorites, honey walnut prawns or chicken with walnuts, tho I don't see any nuts. You might check out a few of those types of recipes as I think the sauce you are looking for will be found there, or a good starting place at least. Very tasty stuff and I have found little variation place to place. Just as delicious with chicken.
