moules frites in the east village area.

where are some good moules frites in the EV area:? I checked some old threads that says DBGB has good ones, but the current menu doesnt seem to have them. Le Jardin wasnt the best ever, but it was huge, and a cool spot, but it tragically closed. So where to now?

Not stuck on tradition, getting over a cold, so mostly just want a huge bowl of good broth.
EV area as in EV, LES, GV, SOHO, NOLITA, NOHO, you know, doesnt need to be in ev proper, but not looking to go to westchester...

Thanks A Lot.

Actually started beating the internet and found some joints right over here in ABC city. Ended up going to Casimir, cool spot, good vibe, the Moules frites were fine, totally standard, good salad, good spot to have in the pocket. I also noticed Flea Market has a tues all you can eat Moules deal, w a few different broths, etc, so may have to give that a shot some time, also Lucien, so a few spots around after I looked harder. Thanks for the recs all, Ill have to give a few of these a try.

Could also try The Smith on 3rd Ave. They have a nice mussels and the fries are also balthazar level good. They will even give you some bernaise sauce to dip them in if you like.

          I second Flex.
          Alternatively...
Petite Abeille- I believe one is on 20th and 1st. Check out their website because they have daily specials for all you can eat moules and a few locations, most in the village or surrounding areas.

Either Jane on Houston (and LaGuardia?) or Hundred Acres, around the corner on MacDougal between Houston and Prince.

If you're willing to go to Chelsea-ish area, Flex Mussels opened up a location on 13th between 6th and 7th. The portions seemed a bit smaller than the UES location, but it was still tasty and a decent portion size.
