A night out without the kids. Where to go?

Husband and I want to go out for dinner without the kids one night. We've been to so many places in and around DC, but I can't for the life of me decide where to go this time. I am open to any and all suggestions. Parameters - a nice evening out, where we have to get at least a little dressed up. That's it. Would like it to be within an hour's drive of DC.

Many thanks!

You may want to try Sushi Taro in Dupont Circle. http://www.sushitaro.com/ And, if needed, your kids' aunt may be able to babysit. :-

      Are there any price restraints?

Blacksalt is a great recommendation. A few other places you might consider: Corduroy, PS7, Restaurant Eve, or Bibiana.

Le auberge chez francois or 2941 are both excellent restaurants that will fit your bill for a special night out without the kids within an hour of DC where you can dress up

Our two faves are Blacksalt or Lightfoot in Leesburg. For either let the server help you explore specials, etc. Blacksalt probably has the edge, though Lightfoot has a place in our heart.
