Has anyone tried this scotch and can comment?

      I really enjoy the Signet. As you may know, what makes it unique is the use of a darker roast of barley (known as chocolate barley) than in most malts. That produces a unique flavor, both sweet and mocha/chocolatey. It's not a standard tasting whisky, but very interesting and good stuff.

        At that price point is it worth it? I am intrigued but have this feeling that for $200 I am better off buying a 25 YO single malt.

          It is quite expensive. I'd say, if you've had a lot of whisky and are looking for something new, original and a bit quirky, you might want to pick it up. But if you are just looking for a great whisky and dont' have any particular interest in this particular experiment, pass it up because you could do a lot better for the money.
