Uh Oh, one more theory on wine headaches.

So I feel like I'm throwing a live hand grenade into this board but I just found this reference in a Wine Business news e-mail. The original reference seemed kindof sketchy so I Googled to find one from what seemed like a possibly more reliable source. This is from SmartPlanet.com and cites a study at The University of Southern Denmark.

Have fun folks........................

Below is the link to the published detail. Most of it is way over my head AND I couldn't find any direct reference to HEADACHES in the text, just "potential allergenic cross-reactivity", so I'm just going to put it out there and wait for someone like marialorraine to comment (assuming she hasn't had more than enough of this topic already). ;o

    Uh-oh.

    Those glycoproteins.

Thanks for both links, especially the sci article link. I wonder how glycoproteins will fit into the big picture with all the other headache-causers in wine -- a small trigger or a bigger one.
