Fresh Lobsters in Waltham/Newton?
We have family flying in from the (landlocked) Midwest this weekend in preparation for Thanksgiving and wanted to serve them lobster on Sunday night for a treat...However...we live in W. Newton and I'm fairly certain my standby of Wolfe's in Coolidge Corner is closed.
Any suggestions? I know Whole Foods only serves frozen...apparently the tanks are cruel.
Anyone know of a good fish market in Watertown, Newton, Wellesley or Waltham?

I agree with Captain Marden's or Steamers. I've also purchased perfectly fine lobsters from Shaw's in Newton.

There's a place in 'the lake' called Steamers (on Rt 16). And Captain Marden's in Wellesley. But it's also pretty fast to hop on the pike, get off at the S. Boston (Seaport) exit and go to James Hook or Yankee Lobster. I'd call all four places to find out the hours and prices, then decide. Shaw's and Stop and Shop have them too, of course, but if they don't have fast turnover, they may not be as good. Too long in a tank with inferior salt water and the flavor suffers too.
