Good scene in DC

Hi all. I'll be in DC with a group of close friends and we are looking for a restaurant with good food, and a good scene. We are all in our early 30's, and like to have fun. Any suggestions?

Another idea: dinner and Birch and Barley, drinks upstairs at Churchkey.

Or, has anyone ever had the food at Russia House? I've never been to the restaurant, but I like the rest of the place.

I've never been, so I can't personally recommend it, but I've heard good things about LIMA, and I believe it does turn into a lounge/club after hours.

There is a restaurant upstairs on the top floor and then bar/lounge/dance club on the bottom 2 floors.

Busboys and Poets, at 14th and V Streets, a short block off the very happening U Street Corridor. Busboys scene is more outstanding than its food, which is not a knock against the latter. See http://www.busboysandpoets.com/

Maybe go to dinner at Cork or Creme first and then head over to Busboys for drinks.

I would check out Masa 14 or Central. Both should fit the bill.

Thanks so much Elyssa. Central looks great. Do you happen to know if either of these places has a good lounge scene as well. In a perfect world, we are looking for a fun restaurant, good scene, and somewhere that we can just stay the night and party at. I know thats asking a bit much, but any suggestions would be very much appreciated.

Central has a bar area with tables and chairs/sofas...but I wouldn't necessarily call it a lounge. Instead you might want to go to PS7. It's a great restaurant with a lively lounge scene (and some of the best drinks in town).

I also really like the bar area at Poste....you can also take your drinks out to the comfy lobby (it's in a hotel) and hang out there. I don't know if it's as much as a "scene" though. It's still a cool place to hang out.
