Best raw bar, and best restaurant with at least a decent raw bar.

Moved East after years in Seattle and miss the great WA. and Oregon oysters. Will be in PDX for one week and hope to get at least one lunch and one dinner in oystercentric spots. Looking for a great raw bar for lunch with no real concern about the rest of the menu, as well as a great dinner spot that will allow some bonus oyster eating. Thank you for the help!

    I had posted this to a happy hour oyster request, but these places still have some of the best in the city, IMO:

    EaT: an Oyster Bar: http://www.eatoysterbar.com
    used to be $1 oysters all day Tues. plus other HH specials during the week, but call to be sure

    EaT has what is probably one of the biggest selections in the city...which isn't as oyster happy as Seattle, unfortunately.

    Davis Street Tavern: http://www.davisstreettavern.com/10.html
    M-Sat. 4-6:30pm - half shells with Cucumber, Pickled Shallot, and Smoked Steelhead Trout Roe - $1ea.

    I love the cucumber/trout roe on the oysters, though I am usually a plain oyster eater (no lemon, or anything at all, usually).

    FYI, I haven't ever eaten anything but oysters at Dan and Louis, it is a local institution and they have their own beds on the coast.

      Thank you! I love oyster happy hours. Few and far between away from major oyster harvesting areas.
