Golden Mall : Bing, Bao and such

The stall which was last the faux pho place, is now open to the street, selling all kinds of bing. When fresh off the grill the bing were excellent, the dough lightly crisped the lamb filling nearly as moist as a xlb.The next time I went the pork bing had sat on the heat table a bit too long and lacked zip and snap. I suggest sitting inside and watching the cooks prepare the bings and selecting accordingly. Very rewarding activity

ya they were pretty good, the meat-filled bings from the front window. $2 for the lamb, $1.50 for the beef or pork. Filling was seriously greasy, eat at arms'-length, standing. skin was definitely not crisp, as they were fresh off and there were at least 20-30 in the metal tray. lots of other good looking, starch on starch action. I didn't eat too much, as I just had the typical shanghai breakfast across the street at Ren Ren East No. 1

By God you did! I see it now as I have semi emerged from my usual dense fog.
I have taken to sitting at the counter watching the bings bop out.
        What are your hits here?

We were too full from the three other stands inside, unfortunately! Next time.
