Does the bar applewood itself work for you? Because as good as the food is, the drinks are actually just as good, if not better. It would be a shame to get all likkered up somewhere else, then have one more drink with dinner and regret the sub-standard cocktails you'd just consumed elsewhere.

Not bashing the other places at all (don't think I've even ever been to any of those mentioned), just singing the praises of the cocktails at Applewood. They really do shine on the cocktail menu.
That said, Bob below is correct, the bar only has 6 seats and can fill up fairly fast. It likely would be ok if you showed up at say, 5:45pm for an hour of drinks before a 6:45pm reservation, but if your reservation is at 8:30, then by the time yoy got there at 7:30 the bar would be full of diners.
Speaking of which, when dining in a party of two, we prefer to eat at the bar instead of a table. More fun to chat with the bartender, better overall service because he's always RIGHT there, easier to hear one another (applewood is LOUD), and you sometimes get a free drink thrown your way.

There's only room for about 4 people at that bar. Even if the OP tries Applewood's bar it would be a good idea to have a fallback.

Bar Toto would work. The atmosphere is pleasant enough. Keep in mind that BT isn't one of those new wave cocktail bars like Clover Club or PDT. It a bistro type place with a nice bar.
