Tuscon, AZ.......

What are the best BBQ joints in Tuscon, AZ. Is Firebrush and Famous Dave's at the top of the list. I will be staying at Arizona Inn. Firebrush is a few blocks from the hotel. Any places worth driving less than an hour in either direction.

And what do you think the top 4/5 best fine dining restaurants. Thanks for your help.

It may be because i'm not a big bbq maniac, but I went to a party that Brushfire BBQ catered and was VERY pleasantly surprised at the quality of the meat and the variety of sauces- they were all great.

Jacks, 22nd west of Craycroft, It's outlasted them all. There's a reason the southern GI's from the AF base flock to the place!

Driver phil is right, not much of a bbq town. But I went to an event cqtered by Brushfire BBQ that I was pleasantly surprised by- great meat and multiple sauces, good stuff. I'm not a bbq psycho fan, So i thought that Brushfire was worth mentioning.

Tucson isn't much of a BBQ town, and I'm sure you know that Famous Dave's is a chain.

If you want to find something near your hotel, you need to give us an idea of where you are staying as the city spreads out quite a bit.

I'd also suggest you look at this board for Tucson related postings.

BTW: Yuma is not close to Tucson
