Looking for recommendations for a place that does a great tasting menu, to celebrate a foodie friend's 50th birthday. Ideally, the food would be great, but not overly pretentious or overpriced. Any recommendations appreciated. Thanks!

Tonight I'm doing PS7's 7-course paired cocktail tasting menu. At $77, I think it's a steal since booze is included. I'll let you know how it is.
