smallfry Nov 17, 2010 04:39 AM

I need to find good bakery in the New Britain, Plainville, Southington, Farmington area. I am looking for a great place to buy fresh breakfast Danishes (apple, berry, cheese) and other brunch style pastries for the day after Thanksgiving. All suggestions welcome, Thank you!

Late reply, I know, but just wanted to add to the list and the overall body of knowledge...

Mangiaficco's in Plainville/Southington, just off Rt. 10 (Queen St.)
Mozzicato DePasquale now in Plainville, just down the hill from the Lowe's mall.

A little outside your area but check out Harvest in Bristol http://www.theharvestbakery.com/ or Elmwood Pastry in West Hartford http://findlocal.courant.com/listings....

I highly recommend everything at Bolo. We have had the soups and many of the pastries and all have been excellent.

there's Bolo bakery in Plainville. I have only been in there a couple of times to buy bread, but everything in the cases looked very good. It's located where Rogers bakery used to be.
