Any great local eats: Terre Haute to St. Louis?

Doing a road trip in a couple of weeks, and would like to find some old-time mom and pop places to eat, if any still exist.

I'm very interested in hearing any answers as I'll be driving from Dayton to St. Louis in the next few months and expect to be driving through Terre Haute around breakfast.

We had a great breakfast at a Greek diner on the outskirts of Terre Haute a couple of years ago. Can't remember the name of the place, so maybe a local could chime in. It's up on a hill, if that helps. (But how many Greek diners can there be in TH?)

It's not an "old time" place, but Firefly Grill is probably the best restaurant between those two cities, in Effingham:
        Highly recommended.

I've always wanted to try this place. It's not too far off 70

Been there several times. Get VERY good directions, mapquest won't cut it. Grill closed at 12:30 sharp. Burgers are good, not amazing. 15 on a scale of 1 to 10 on nostalgia.
