New Years Eve Dinner in Breck, Colorado

Hi there - three friends and i are looking to have a fun, memorable night at a great restaurant in Breck for New Years Eve.....suggestions? We are looking to eat terrific food in a lively restaurant with a wonderful ambiance. Preferably with a nice bar so we can meet some good folks!

We avoid going out on New Year's Eve, as restaurants tend to be over-crowded and their food suffers as a result, so I'm not the best person to make suggestions for where to go that night. However, If you want lively, then look into Blue River Bistro, which I haven't been to in years because husband thinks it's too noisy, or Modis, which I haven't been to, but have heard a lot of good comments about. I know Blue River Bistro also has a bar area; I think Modis does as well. Blue River Bistro has pretty good food for a mountain tourist area. If you want something a little more casual, then look into Mi Casa or Breckenridge Brewery. I actually like Mi Casa's food, especially their corn chowder. The Brewery has your standard brewery types of food.

Cool thanks...i was told a place called 'Embers' would be a great spot too....bar seats

Embers is pretty good, though quite small. Maybe 6 or so bar seats, plus all the tables in the main part of the building. It's pretty low-key and somewhat quiet; not hushed, just not a noisy place. If you're familiar with Breck, Embers is the former Cafe Alpine, and owned/run by Cafe Alpine's former Sous Chef.
