Drakula, what up?

Never made it to Drakula. Tried to one time. I called them for hours, went up there with wife, son and d-in-law in a torrential rain storm to be greeted by a sign that said they were closed for two weeks for vacation. They had not changed their phone message to reflect that. About 4 other cars were there also. Funny thing, about 12 of us wound up at the Sunflower VN place next to Target.

I called them and gave them what for , for not updating their phone message then forgot about them until this past Sunday. I was in the area, saw their sign and went in. It seems that now it is a place called El Sur, or something like that, that has a Mexican like menu.

Question is what happened to Drakula? I regret never eating there, maybe, depending on why they closed. Just curious because the best I remember they were getting pretty good reviews. I think that was back in the Austin360 days. Not sure. Memory is going fast.

BTW, their website is still up but phone is NIS. Weird.

Thanks to all, J.

What I mean is ignore the second post, the one that says "ignore this". Sorry for the confusion.

    1. We went to Drakula once. The restaurant had a smell like someone's grandmother's house - Clorox and cabbage - and it was boiling hot inside. They didn't salt anything.
