Three Chimneys Inn, Durham NH

Went here for the first time this week. Ate downstairs in the pub area (more casual) as the upstairs (fine dining) was closed that night. The location/setting is is really nice, eclectic colonial charm. The girl at the front desk was charming and cheerful as she lead us to the stairs. The bartender was nice and informative. The waitress was really great, pleasant, prompt & informative. All that being said, it's too bad the food didn't match with the rest. It's pricey for what you get. I paid $12 for an average burger w/ a limp pickle. Wife had fried chicken that look like an alien took a shit on a plate loaded with frozen peas and cocktail onions. Not much going on there. This place was that much more disappointing because the food could easily have been taken up a few notches with a little love. I wouldn't bother going back, cause I don't like getting ripped off in a bad economy.

Here's another review of the same place:
