fresh duck in central CT?

where can i buy one? i am thinking outside of the turkey box and would prefer fresh over frozen. (Whole Foods doesn't have them)

i did finally see frozen ones in the Bishop's Corner Whole Food, still no fresh ones. i have decided to chicken out (pun sort of intended) for now, but keep everyone's suggestions in mind for the next upcoming holiday when i have more time to take a road trip. (Meat House was a no) thanks for all the ideas and have a Chowy Thanksgiving!

Maybe check your Whole Foods again, or talk to the meat people there; the Milford Whole Foods has Bell & Evans fresh ducks for $3.99/lb. They're in the case with turkeys.

Just saw them today at Stop & Shop in East Hampton. They had whole birds and also boneless half breasts. Could they be previously frozen? Don't know.

I don't know if you consider West Haven central Ct, but I just got off the phone with them for my weekly order and Bella Bella Gourmet does sell retail The phone # is 203-937-9389. Ask for Bob. They also ship if you can't get to WH.

I have not bought duck from Summerton Farm, but I have bought their beef and pork - delicious! The listing says they raise ducks, so could be worth an e-mail or call -
