I need help!! I'm looking for a Chinese restaurant that offers wedding banquets in NJ. It needs to hold 100+ guests. I prefer a place with nice decors and of course delicious authentic chinese food. The only place I found by me so far is Sunny Palace in East Brunswick, however it looks small and the wall decors are too 'chinese'. Please help if you know or have experience in any chinese wedding banquets (including Sunny Palace), any help is greatly appreciated!!!!!

I had my wedding about 6 years ago and Sunny Palace is the place I ended up choosing. I think Sunny Palace is the only Chinese restaurant in NJ that offers a decent size banquet hall. If you think that hall is small, I don't know what to say because I don't even recall any other place in NJ with a banquet hall.

Crown Palace is the only other place I can think of that has a room but the food & service are both terrible when I held a party there last time.

Sunny Palace's food is okay but the service was wonderful at my wedding.
2 other couples I know also had their wedding at Sunny and they were also happy with them.

If you do have a decent size party, I guess you could rent out the smaller restaurant like 1-9 Seafood restaurant in Woodbridge/Avenel (which changed it's name recently) and Wonder Seafood in Route 27 in Edison. However, both places are still kind of small and the location aren't great.

The only other option i considered is actually a Korean place that offered buffet in North Jersey.
Palisadium (in Edgewater / Clffside Park) is the name but they only offer buffet. The location oversees Hudson River and NYC skyline. Again, that was years ago so I don't know if the restaurant is still the same.

Hope this helps and good luck.

My cousin recently had their wedding banquet at 1-9 (now known as Royal Seafood) in Woodbridge/Avenel and it easily held 150-200, with a dance floor. We had a really good time and the food was good.

King's Chef in Woodbridge, NJ also has a room for wedding banquets, although I'm not sure how many people it holds and I haven't eaten there in a while so I can't vouch for the food either, but it's definitely worth a look.

Further north, but call Noodle Chu in Parsippany; they have a huge side room that is used for banquets.

Ruby Palace in Holmdel has a banquet hall, but it probably is not big enough. But give them a call. The food is decent, and probably can be authentic (as opposed to the "Americanized" fare.
