We will be staying in Mt P for the holiday with our 7 yr old son, anyone know of a place that would have an interesting atmosphere for our feast?

Grill 225 has a mammoth buffet...after tax and tip it would be $100 per adult, kids I think it's $46

Wow, in my old restaurant I charged $12.95 for our Thanksgiving Day buffet. Granted it isn't Grill 225, but it was traditional and quite tasty. Gouging should not be acceptable at any time...be it after a hurricane or on a holiday.

And $46 for children? You HAVE to be kidding.

Just my opinion. Don't shoot me.

Actually after tax and tip, it would about $42 for kids aged 7-12 and $22 for kids aged 3-6. So, apparently, if you have a kid over age 12 it would be $100! It is crazy, but, price aside, the menu sure looks awesome and it is a nice dining room:

        CARVED HOT ENTREES
Prime beef tenderloin with black mission fig demi glace
Organic free-range turkey with Southern giblet gravy
Braised Berkshire pork shoulder in Natural Jus with apple and acai berry chutney

        HOT ENTREES
Lobster stuffed chicken ballotine with golden chanterelle and cream corn puree
Prosciutto wrapped roasted grouper with cannellini beans and sea urchin cassoulet

        SIDES
smashed sweet potatoes with boursin cheese and toasted marshmallow crust
        chestnut golden raisin stuffing
roasted cauliflower with whole grain mustard and lemon cream
roasted root vegetables with apricot, cranberry, and cipollini onions
corn lobster and pumpkin chowder with drambuie creme fraiche

        COLD ITEMS
assorted sashimi and sushi with cold seaweed salad and traditional garnishes
fois gras terrine with duck sauterne
        vegetable terrine
mixed green salad station with traditional garnishes
tomato and buffulo mozzarrella with balsamic basil oil
        oysters on the half shell
        sockeye smoked salmon
        marinated calimari
        mussels on the half shell
        crab cocktail claws
        marinated shrimp
        assorted italian cold meats
        imported and domestic cheeses

        BREADS
        raisin sourdough
        gruyere cheese puffs
        herbed biscuits
        bacon and jalapeno corn bread

        DESSERTS
        chocolate pecan pie
        pumpkin meringue pie
        bing cherry pie
        green apple pie
        bosc pear dartois
        mini apple galettes
        carrot cake
        whiskey cake with marscarpone icing
        berry tarts
        mini creme brulee
        dark chocolate tartlets
        hazelnut verrines

Get the oyster appetizer. It's my favorite.

Yes. I love 17 North. It's very kid-friendly and relaxed. The food is great and they have outdoor seating with heaters.

Another of my favorites is Atlanticville on Sullivans. I don't know if they are open for Thanksgiving. I just tried to call and got the machine. You might want to check it out.

I just browsed Atlanticvilles menu, yummm! Even if we don't do Thanksgiving there, we are definitely putting them on our 'To Do' list!

The only buffet I know about is at the Francis Marion hotel. I haven't been (I go to my mama's house) but people gave it good reviews last year and the chef is very talented.

Thank you , we were kind of excited about visiting Middleton Place , only to find their reservations are full that day, still looks like a place to visit another time. Have you tried 17 North Roadside in Mt Pleasant ?( it may be kid friendly with our 7 yr old)
