Best Ethiopian in SD

Just had my first Ethiopian food on a trip to Atlanta. Want to take a friend out tonight here in SD..suggestions? looking Harar and Muzita.

I like the food at Awash Market- if you go to the back of the store and walk through the curtains you're in the restaurant. It's *severely* lacking in ambiance, but the food is tasty.

They don't have serve beer & wine but you can grab what you want from the fridge in the market and drink it with your meal.

Thanks for the tip. It sounds interesting. Is the menu limited or extensive?

It's about the same as you'd find in most other Ethiopian restaurants, fairly extensive. I usually ask whoever's taking my order what's good that day, and sometimes they've made a pot of something that's not on the menu.

Muzita has the best decor and ambience, but I like the food at Asmara better. For the future, if you like Ethiopian, the Fairfax Avenue strip in LA is worth the trek for the food

It's been a while since I've been, but I liked Asmara and thought the place was a pleasant place to dine.
