Amelia Island bound with 2 "foodies" in the making (11 and 12 year olds)

We are heading to Amelia Island for Thanksgiving and would like to find some great food. Are most of the restaurants posted on the various strings "kid friendly?"

Any insight or suggestions would be appreciated.

    Merge would be a good choice. It's a fairly new place that turns out good food.

      Chef Adam at Merge is great with kids. I also recommend Arte Pizza, Kelley's Courtyard and Lulu's at the Thompson House. Great barbecue at the beach at Island Barbecue (behind the Hammerhead at Sadler.) All are kid friendly and very good.

      Salt would take your kids but it isn't a kid place. Too pricey... too haute..

      I suggest 29 South, Le Clos (where we've taken our kids since they were that age), Horizons and Barbara Jean's.
