HELP.... Yonge & Front Buffet Brunch recommendations please
A large group of us will be getting together for the Santa Claus parade near Yonge & Front and we want to find a good brunch place that will keep the kids busy and the adults satisfied

How much are you prepared to spend? Victoria's inside the King Eddy (east of Yonge on King) has a buffet brunch that's considerably better than Hot House. It costs around $50 pp, but there might be a reduced rate for children. Not sure if you and your friends would want to spend that kind of money on your children. I'm sure some chowkids would love going to the King Eddy for brunch.

Tundra at the Toronto Hilton has a breakfast buffet in your price range. It's about 1 km from Yonge and Front, but it's very close to the parade route.
There's also a free pre-parade breakfast at Yonge-Dundas Square that's being provided by President's Choice. I don't have high expectations for the food, but the kids would probably enjoy the magicians and face painters that will be there.

Since the Santa Claus parade ends near there, everything will be extremely packed at that time. In fact I live nearby and tend to stay away at that time every year because everything is a madhouse of crowds, street closures and cranky traffic cops.
Hot House was the first place that came to mind for me, too, but it's extremely busy on a normal Sunday so you will need to call ASAP to make reservations. If that fails, another option might be the newly re-opened Marche in Brookfield Place, which is big enough to hold a large group and is sort of a buffet, I guess. As fallback there is also the new Fran's diner at Front St East and Scott, though it's quite small and the food is hit and miss. And it's not a buffet.
