I buy all my bitters via the KegWorks storefront on Amazon. They have a great selection of many speciality bitters. Some of our family favorites include the Fee Bros Peach bitters and the Angostura Orange bitters. They have Peychauds too!

Just to update this, in PA, Peychaud's are now exclusively available in Wine & Spirits shops. Some places may have older stock, but Buffalo Trace is only dealing with the PLCB.

You should be able to find them in most stores.

The good news is that they should be much more available now. The bad news is that the state stores aren't carrying Regan's #6 Orange Bitters, which means no one is in PA. (Buffalo Trace distributes Regan's).

Is it possible to special order it through the State Stores? Or just mail order it?

To the best of my knowledge, no, you can't order Regan's. I checked the plcb site, and the product is not listed.

Speaking of bitters, DiBruno's is carrying Fee Bros at 3 for $20, which really isn't a bad way to try out some new bitters, but for the more esoteric, the net is the way to go.

lenejohansen, if you don't mind me asking, what are you using the peach bitters for? Mine just stare at me like a forlorn lover.

Still no Peychaud's at the original 9th St. DiBrunos, BUT, they're carrying 4 varieties of Bitterman's bitters in addition to Angostura & a wide seleciton of Fee Bros. Perhaps all the Fee bitters. Supposedly, they will carry Evo-lution bitters very soon including a reproduction of the original Boker's bitters called for by Jerry Thomas.

          Very cool.

The 9th St DiBruno's Bros. carries them and a wide variety of other bitters. Maybe give them a call first to make sure they're in stock. If not, you could also try Green Aisle Grocery.

I've found the PA liquor stores to be very hit or miss, even with Angostura.

ah yes, this is a good call: DiBruno's, even the one on Chestnut Street. I've had luck getting different flavored bitters there.

The Chestnut St. stocks a full line of Fee Brothers bitters but no Peychaud's.

Dibruno's a number of state stores have been tried-

                  I'll check Green Aisle

                  it shouldn't be this difficult

You can order it online from the PLCB and they will send it to your local store.

The Angostura doesnt surprise me as there has been a well publicized shortage of the product.

Well, that shortage actually stopped about a year ago (IIRC, there was a strike at the plant), but it did take a while to get them back on the shelves. I've seen the big bottles in New Jersey (Total Wine), while DiBrunos is currently carrying the small bottles at their 9th St. store.

I think Fee Bros. old-fashioned aromatics make a decent replacementat a similar pricepoint despite their glycerin base. Or you could try the aforementioned Bittermans Tiki Bitters.

The supplyl shortage didn't stop until about April of this year, and supposedly was caused by a shortage of the BOTTLES used for the product. Took them quite a while to find a new source for them.

                      Looks like you're correct.

Well one way or the other, there's plenty to be had. I've never seen it so available, so there's certainly no shortage now. FWIW, the OP is looking for Peychaud's, so shout out if you find some. This is getting OT and cap-locky.

you should be able to buy at a PA liquor store:

Wow, I would never have thought the PLCB carried Peychaud's but they do. In every store according to the online inventory and at a good price, $5.29.
