Help! Frozen Turkey!

I'm hoping someone on the boards can help me. My sister-in-law is in charge of making the church Thanksgiving dinner, which is tomorrow night. Unfortunately, she didn't have the foresight to thaw any of the turkeys...

When we talked to her today, she said she was just going to cook the turkey and 3 turkey breasts frozen. Has anyone ever done this? Will it work? Also, we are expecting about 80 people to come, will that be enough turkey?

Umm... no, not a good idea. Put the wrapped frozen turkeys in a large container (or a clean bathtub) under running cold water. This is about the only safe way to quickly thaw meat. This was even on an episode of Good Eats...

Thank you. I told her that it wasn't a good idea that she cook them frozen. She doesn't seem to think she is wrong.

Apparently, you can do it safely BUT first you have to remove the bag of giblets and the neck which is very difficult if it is frozen. Then expect it to take twice as long to cook. I def wouldn't recommend stuffing it either.
