Tips for Dining, Eating, and Food Shopping in Seattle

Restaurant new Space Needle

I will be in Seattle for about a day, we are going to stay downtown and would like to hit up the Space Needle in the early evening. I haven't heard great things about the restaurant up there, and it's really pricey. So we are looking for suggestions close by. My friend is does not eat seafood, but I would love to try some Seattle seafood. Thanks!

  1. I can't think of great seafood very close to the Needle, but these downtown spots aren't far.

Any of those will have non seafood options for your friend.

    1. Thanks! As I am sure you noticed this should say NEAR

      1. I don't know how near you need to be, but I really like Crow on 5th Ave (@ Valley, I think) which is a stone's throw-- good, simple NW food, they will have some seafood but aren't really known for it.

If you can range a little further afield, you won't be too far from Belltown, which abounds with restaurants.

        1. One good option is Seastar. It is not too far from the Seattle Center and has both very good seafood and some nice other options as well. http://www.seastarrestaurant.com/seat...
