Does anyone know where to buy a good buche de noel for the holidays? I have been in Charlotte for several years and haven't found a bakery that sells them. I have gotten them when we travel to NY, Boston, etc. but would love to get one locally. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks!

I can't help directly, but my advice would be to call Amelie's. If anyone would have it, it would be them.

Amelie's in NODA does sell them. Not sure if they've started yet but I believe last yr you did have to pre-order.

Whole Foods in Mt Pleasant SC has a wonderful Buche at a very reasonable price.

The Fresh Market sells these and they are very rich and delicious. I believe you can pre-order them however when I hit TFM last year they had a huge table of them. I think they are becoming more popular and when I put one in my cart a woman started asking me about them.
