I tried the pumpkin cannoli at La Biscotteria in Redwood City (See photo). It's only available in November (oddly, not in October). It's very good: not too sweet, nicely spiced, good texture.

  1. I love, love, love the pumpkin cannoli at La Biscotteria! It's so creamy, almost like ice cream. I can do without the powdered sugar though. I'm thinking of getting them for Thanksgiving instead of pumpkin pie.

I highly recommend getting the artichoke foccaccia and the butternut squash raviolis too, and the biscotti. Especially the anise one with chocolate. They definitely excel in biscotti, since it's their namesake. Fifty cents each. They sell them in packs too, but I've only bought individual pieces.

The lady behind the counter mentioned that Saturday is the best day to come in. If she(and you) has time, she'll chat about Italy and her husband, the baker. Pretty neat place. I didn't expect to find such a bakery in Redwood City.
