Filipino Bakeries in Chicagoland

I recently enjoyed a Filipino pastry called "Endaymada Ube." It's a delicious sweet bread pastry about the size of a small apple, with a sweet yam filling and topped with a light frosting and cheese curls. Anyone know where one can buy these in the Chicago area?

I noticed last night that there is a "Phillipine Plaza" on the east side of Clark, around 5600 N. Apparently they have a bakery in there, although I've never stopped in.

A search on Metromix turns up two Filipino bakeries in the listings, both in West Rogers Park:

      Mom's Bake Shoppe and Restaurant
      2415 W. Peterson Ave.
      Chicago, IL 60659
      773-784-1318

Marie Gold Bakery and Fast Food
      5752 N. California Ave.
      Chicago, IL 60659
      773-561-1978

You might want to try calling first; Metromix's listings are not always accurate. (I don't have any personal experience with either business.)
