Has anyone try Amandine Bakery & Pastry (Calgary)?

I'm looking into ordering a fruity mousse cake for a birthday occasion. For the past year or two, we've been getting our cakes from Yamato. Yamato has been pretty consistent with their mousse cakes, but I'm wondering if there are any other places that we could order mousse cake from and one that's not super sweet. I came across Amandine Bakery & Pastry and haven't seen any reviews on their cakes other than the occasional short replies mentioning its name. Any comments on this place?

  1. I don't know about their cakes specifically, but Kawa Espresso Bar gets a lot of their pastries from Amandine and the ones I've had have been scrumptious.

    1. my son recently turned 4 and we bought a hot wheels replica cake from amandine. my wife took a hot wheels car (big fat buster, for those of you familiar with battle force 5 (sigh)) and the cake turned out amazing. the cake also tasted great. people were so impressed that the next birthday (two weeks later) we went to also had their birthday cake made from amandine (this time a space shuttle). the cake is not overly sweet, which seemed to appeal to most people. hope it works out for you.

I love the cakes made by Amandine Bakery! Try the Bavarian Fruit - it's a light angel food cake with fresh fruit on the top and custard in the filling. Oh and the fresh whipped cream and the fruit tastes so good! It's not at all sweet. - look for "In Store" - Cake list - lots of different types of cakes, lots of different sizes as well. They even make cakes for diabetics. FYI - Amandine delivers for free to downtown. I used to get cakes for our office gatherings.

Other food items I really like are their sausage rolls. They are great for a snack!
