What restaurant should we eat at that we can't get in NYC?

It depends on the type of food you're looking for, how much per person and if you are looking for to dine on or off the Strip and if you'll have a car.

I'm a NYer too, and love LV for dining. My favorite restaurant that we don't have is Alex at They Wynn Hotel. Another favorite non-NY restaurant is CUT (steak) at The Palazzo Hotel.

If you have a car, and not thinking of buffets- make sure you go to Rosemary's. It is about a 15 minute cab ride west of the strip. The meal is wonderful, and prefixed at about $60 per person. If you are there on a Sunday- wine is half price, and on Wednesdays- women can eat half price.

Rosemary's is consistently rated as one of the top Las Vegas restaurants for food. Call for reservations!

                Joel Robuchon or Guy Savoy.

New York has a multitude of great restaurants, but they don't have either of these venues.

I'd certainly not look at the "off strip" places aside from perhaps Lotus of Siam - you have better in the Big Apple.

2nd that emotion for Rosemary's. Great value, great service, kickbutt New American cuisine, often with a decided Creole twist.
