Modern yet Romantic Restaurant?

I just joined Chowhound and have been doing searches for the past hour trying to find the right place. I'm taking my girlfriend to see a matinee of Wicked for her birthday and want to take her to a nice dinner at night. We are coming from CT so we'll be training it in and out of Grand Central. In terms of culinary likes/dislikes, she is a big seafood fan (sea bass is her fave), while I don't eat it at all.

We are in our late 20s so something romantic, but not too stuffy and hopefully something modern. So I've come up with the following after searching Chowhound and looking at menu's and availability. Do any of these jump out as the one? Is there a restaurant I'm not aware of?

Aldea
Modern
Picholine
Auroele
Felidia
Scalini Fideli
Erminia

Thanks so much!

The Modern Dining Room would be a nice choice for you. The food is very good, the scene is lively (not stuffy), and there is a lovely view of MoMA's sculpture garden (adding to the romance).

Modern Bar Room is also good too. I like Degustation too.

Aldea is also modern and romantic, with a young-ish vibe and great food as well.

I'll second Aldea. Love the food...that being said, all the places you mentioned have great food or are rumored to.
