Frito-Lay has a "chip tracker" on their website: http://www.fritolay.com/lays/chip-tra...

Just type in your zip code and the product code and you can find out where your chips were made. They also have a map of their chip factories and potato farms. I was surprised to see my native stomping grounds (Northeast NC) on the map. Potatoes have always been one of the primary crops in the region, and are significant part of my culinary heritage, but it never occurred to me that the potatoes my uncles grew became Lay's chips!
