Late-night burger spot off Bourbon

  • 7

So, the last time we were in New Orleans (May), we went somewhere pretty late night (like 2 a.m.) and got burgers. Can't remember the name and got directions from a bartender elsewhere. This was many many drinks into the night, and I can't remember the name. It wasn't Clover Grill, and if I remember correctly it was a few blocks West of Bourbon, as in toward Dauphine Street. Also, they had NOLA beer on tap. Atmosphere was a cool but a little on the divey side. Any thoughts on where it could have been?

      1. Perhaps it was Deja Vu? They are open 24 hrs and they serve burgers. 400 Dauphine.

Yo Mama's is open til 2 or so. It's the other direction from Bourbon St. (between Bourbon and Royal) than what you specified though, whereas Deja Vu is on Dauphine.

Is this the old Fatted Calf location on St. Peter, a few doors down from Johnny White's?

Yes, Yo Mama's is in the space of the old Fatted Calf -- but with a larger bar and lots of tequila choices. Great burgers, but you have to ask them to warm the bun or they usually don't.
