SF city Christmas Eve/Day brunch, lunch, dinner?

  • 2

Would love to hear suggestions/advice for 24th & 25th meals -- want to spend about $50/person on our special meals (eg, Top of the Mark at $100/ea is a bit much for us).

Also happy to hear those cheap & cheerful suggestions about someplace in that happens to be open during the holidays for the regular, non-celebratory meals.

Thanks!

  1. I'd look to see what's open on Opentable and then cross reference or ask here again. A search here for "Christmas Dinner" will also give you some ideas.

    1. Christmas Day = chinese food, for us! Restaurant Taiwan on Clement St is great, Yuet Lee on Stockton/Broadway is also delicious. Both are very affordable, in lively (even on xmas) neighborhoods, and though the atmosphere at Taiwan is a bit nicer, Yuet Lee offers an even more authentic experience. Dim Sum at Ton Kiang is great too!

For brunch, Dottie's True Blue on Jones between Geary & O'Farrell is great, and should be open on Christmas Eve, if not both days.
