Mer Cheri Bar & Grille in Pearland

Vistied a new restaurant/martini bar in Pearland and just wanted others to know that I was very disappointed with what I found. I was told that this was a fun place to hear music and get a martini (from a wide selection). Yes, the martini was good, but the service & atmosphere were nothing special. It took forever for a waiter to take our order and the place wasn't even busy. The host seemed bored and could care less about our seating. We ordered gumbo and thought it didnt have enough seafood in it. Yuk.
Don't recommend this place.

  1. I have never been to this place but it was on my list to try so thanks for the heads up chefgirl! We did try Floyds Cajun Seafood, the Pearland location, last Saturday night and were pleasantly surprised. We started our dinner with a dozen Oysters Floyd and they were soooo good. The crab bisque was creamy and full of lump crabmeat. The only problem was that by the time our dinner plates came we were full! The service was spot on as well. After dinner we sat on the outside patio and listened to a really good band. Our drinks actually had alchohol in them, and overall we had a great time. I am not a huge fan of the Gulf Freeway location, so this was a very pleasant surprise.

Yes, I agree, Floyds in Pearland is a good place. Raw oysters and shrimp reasonably priced and delicious. Bloody Marys are great,,,served with a large shrimp & olive. Yum.
