Bittman's Minimalist on Cooking Channel

Bittman's new cooking show was to begin October 10, 2010 on the Cooking Channel according to the press.

So far I have seen nothing of Bittman on the Cooking Channel. The programming on DirectTV today showed that his program was to be broadcast at 3:30, but a substitute program was on instead.

Is anyone anywhere getting his new programming.

  1. I alos tried to put it on at 3:30 yesterday and something else was on. I would love to know what is going on also. I have no clue.....sorry

    1. Google links to an article last week in the Sacramento Bee in which Bittman says the shows airs January 2. (See almost to bottom of interview).

FYI: Googled "Bittman Cooking Channel" and one of the first items was a board post reference to him which linked to the a reticle. Google is your friend! ;o)))

Thanks, Midlife. The articles I came up with on Google only showed the August 2010 articles annoucing the new program.

          Many thanks.

        3. There are 101 short (~3 minute) clips of him cooking 101 different Thanksgiving-related dishes on the NY Times Web site at , with links to printable recipes.

Sweet potatoes wrapped in prosciutto just leapt onto my Thanksgiving menu!

          1. The Cooking Channel showed a Minimalist episode yesterday, at least it was on the guide, but I didn't watch - appetizers was the theme I believe.

They've been in the guide in NYC but the actual shows are not Bittman, but Tyler Florence. Big difference!

It's Tyler's Ultimate, isn't it. Maybe they scheduled the Minimalist, and then arrangements fell through.
